Greetings everyone from the SBLMS,
We wanted to take a moment to draw attention to a hidden gem in the Torrance area. The Bartlett Center has been serving the community for years, and is always looking for new folks to get involved. It is one of a kind, and is also one of the last lapidary workshops available to the public in the area.
This workshop is a fully equipped lapidary rock and gem laboratory. It is open to the public, and frequently staffed with experienced lapidary instructors, ready to assist visitors with their projects. The only thing YOU need to bring is a pair of wrap around protective glasses!
Our Club Vice President Steve went over to visit, and took some photos of the shop for you to check out. Scroll all the way down to see contact info and directions! Please share with your Geology friends in the area and head over for a visit.
Thanks for reading.

I sure miss the SBLMS…. I am happy that they now have access to a complete shop for those that do not have their own complete shop… especially the 20″ saw for larger rocks. WOW.
