William Strickland will be sharing his knowledge of amethyst, its relationship to other members of the quartz family, and the incredible variety of specimens and formations found across the globe.

During the presentation, we’ll explore:
- Amethyst and its relationship to Quartz, Ametrine, and Citrine
- The differences between natural and heat-treated amethyst
- Mineral specimens from around the world
- Unique and unusual crystal formations
- Amethyst gemstones and jewelry
- Interesting examples showcasing the many forms and colors of amethyst
